description: SOS students (grades 7 & 8) toured an art exhibition, while listening to British Artist, Paula Cox, explain her artwork. They then participated in an art workshop where they learned about the UN Convention of the Rights of a Child & how to create pictures about children's rights. These artworks were later submitted to the UNICEF 18@18 art competition. Coordinated with I.C.B. Art Director (Ingar), I.C.B. Art Teacher (Rawan), SOS Village Volunteer (Leo) & I.C.B. location: Dar Annadwa (I.C.B.), Bethlehem
date: November 14- November 22, 2007
description: Student artwork created for entry into the 18@18 UNICEF Art Competition was on display in this exhibition which was open to the public. Each artwork featured the name of the student artist, as well as a description of the specific article from the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child (CRC), which they chose to draw about. location: The Peace Center & Dar Annadwa (I.C.B.), Bethlehem
date: Wednesday, November 21, 2007
description: SOS Students (grades 7 & 8) toured various art exhibitions and learned how to study artwork, and then sketch their observations into their sketchbooks. One of the exhibitions the students visited was their very own art show, made of artwork created by their peers from the SOS School.
